Sound Insulation Testing Site Readiness Questionnaire

What is involved?

The test is carried out between a pair of rooms separated by a party wall or floor. It involves setting up a noise source in the room on one side of the party wall or floor and measuring this noise on the other side of the partition. We require access to both sides of the wall or floor.

Required Site Conditions

Quiet conditions are required, with no work at all near the rooms in question. Your staff should be informed of the noise test program and be prepared to leave punctually as required.

External noise activity within control of the site manager should be stopped. You should inform us of any other external noise activity likely to occur on the test day e.g. road works. The tests are likely to last several hours, depending on the number of tests involved. Acoustic South East staff will advise.
